Amanda turned 21 the night before the National Final and her ultimate birthday wish was granted - to win the coveted national title. The judging panel, led by last year’s title winner Raychel Frew and including ZOO Weekly Australian Swimsuit Calendar Girl winner Jerusha Tuart as well as Australia's top glamour photographer Wayne Daniels had their work cut out for them as the stunning finalists took to the spectacular $10,000 catwalk hovering only inches above the sparkling resort pool. However, after watching the finalists first strutting their stuff in the Theme Wear and then in the Swimwear section, the judges’ had reached a decision; Amanda had displayed all the qualities they were looking for. She embodied head turning beauty with elegance, poise and personality. Amanda is 5’7” tall with brown hair and hazel eyes. After driving trucks in Kalgoorlie, Amanda relocated to the Gold Coast two years ago and in between modelling jobs, she works as a waitress and Hooter girl trainer. Amanda represented The Bedroom Nightclub, Surfers Paradise. Amanda's win makes it two in a row for The Bedroom as they also produced last year's winner - Raychel Frew.
This year’s first runner-up was Renae Wauhop 21, from Clink Nightclub, Fremantle, WA. Renae also won the Theme Wear Section. Second runner-up was Zilda Williams, 25, representing Billy’s Beach House. Sarah Bilbrough, 23, representing Vibe Nightclub, Geraldton, WA, was selected for a special prize including a professional test shoot for Australia’s leading men’s lifestyle magazine photographer Wayne Daniels. The pageant photographers selected Kate Johnson, 25, representing The Deck Bar, Darwin as Miss Photogenic. Twenty three year old Brisbane-based “pocket rocket” Magenta Bentley sponsored by B52 Energy Drink from Brisbane, QLD, was voted Miss Personality by the other finalists. |
