The leggy lovely reportedly met the 42-year-old newsman at a New York film screening this past summer (08) and now they're an item, according to the Sydney Daily Telegraph newspaper.
Abrams was previously engaged to actress Elisabeth Rohm and most recently dated Brit Jaime Murray, while Macpherson was married to Gilles Bensimon and engaged to French financier Arpad Busson, who fathered her two sons.
Most recently the 44-year-old model denied reports she was romancing the 21-year-old son of director Julian Schnabel and convicted drug smuggler Brian Burgess

Refaeli, 23, promotes the Young Contemporary Spring 2009 apparel and swim collections that debut in October, followed by several more.
"Hurley does everything with a lot of genuine heart," says Refaeli, "and I love that Hurley's beach culture lifestyle incorporates fashion and makes it look and feel sexy and effortless."
